It has been a few months now since the Columbian extension is governed by Internet SAS, a new register with a lot of ambitions.
As a matter of fact, it should be soon possible for everyone to register a .COM.CO domain name. Until now, a local presence was compulsory but this won’t be a condition anymore.
Moreover, the Columbian register plans to liberalized the .CO extension. He also wants to make official the possibility to register IDNs ( internationalized domain names).
