Since February 10th, 2010 .PRO domain names that consists out of one to three characters, are available for registration. Just like characters, letters and numbers will both be accepted. However, some names are prohibited like letter-combinations equivalent to official country codes: it is for example not possible to register domain names such as fr.pro, de.pro, etc.
